Altitec is a global specialist in wind turbine blade access, inspection and repair

Altitec is a pioneer in the use of advanced rope access methods for the servicing of wind turbines. Having supported the growth of the German and UK wind energy sectors since the turn of the century, Altitec now employs a team of over 50 rope access turbine blade technicians, each with extensive experience and technical expertise inspecting and repairing turbines at wind farms around the world.

Since 2010, this team has inspected over 5000 turbine blades and 1700 turbines throughout the UK, Europe and within key emerging markets further afield, such as South Africa and Australia.

Altitec’s industry-accredited approach, using the most sophisticated access technologies – including ground based telescopic blade scanning technologies, Unmanned Air Vehicles (drones), the ActSafe powered rope ascender system and Käufer blade access platforms – is proven to cut maintenance times, reduce project downtime and maximise the impact of limited service windows on long-term performance.

This cost-efficient, reliable service has formed the basis of longstanding relationships with major manufacturers, asset owners and wind farm operators.
