Finding Acces
The implementation of an advertising idea at a height of 260 meters requires a safe and specially adapted highaltitude access concept. In collaboration with the TV Tower’s operators, we determined the technical requirements, documented the situation on site, and analyzed access possibilities.
The attachment points were always located above the sphere on the encircling railings. The necessary rope length was a maximum of 30 meters, in order to avoid excess weight disturbing the work process. The precise positioning of each member of each individual highaltitude work team was determined in accordance with the segmentation of the surface.
Material and tools were packed in special transport sacks and lowered by rope over the ice gutters and the upper platform of the TV Tower’s sphere down to the high-altitude workers. Under the most varied weather conditions and in a three-shift system.
